What is the legal window tint limit in California?
California allows any darkness on the rear window and back side windows. Front side windows must let in more than 70% of light, so we keep the fronts light and street-legal — many customers choose a nearly-clear ceramic film there for heat rejection. The windshield allows a non-reflective strip along the top only. We’ll make sure your install meets California law.
How long does a window tint installation take?

What’s the difference between ceramic coating and wax?
Wax lasts a few weeks. Our professional ceramic coating is semi-permanent and protects your paint for years, with a deep gloss and a hydrophobic, easy-to-clean finish.
PPF or ceramic coating — which do I need?
Paint protection film (PPF) is a physical clear film that absorbs rock chips and scratches. Ceramic coating is a liquid that bonds to the paint for gloss and easy cleaning. Many customers do both — PPF on high-impact areas like the hood and bumper, ceramic over everything else.
How long does paint protection film last?
Quality PPF can last up to 10 years and typically carries a manufacturer warranty against yellowing and cracking.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. Our 3M window films carry a lifetime warranty against fading, bubbling, and peeling, and our PPF and ceramic products carry manufacturer warranties.
Will the tint fade or turn purple?
Not with 3M. Cheap dyed films turn purple over time — our 3M Color Stable and ceramic films are guaranteed never to fade or turn purple.
Can you tint over factory privacy glass?
Yes. Factory privacy glass only darkens the rear windows. We can add film over it to cut heat and UV, and match the look on the front windows.
